Salma Baduel has held the role of Country Treasurer of Absa Bank Botswana since 2021. She joined the bank in 2014 and has 10 years’ experience in the banking sector, specializing in Treasury Risk Management. Her expertise lies within Liquidity, Capital and Interest Rate Risk Management having held various management roles within Treasury.
She has completed several Treasury related courses and completed a short-term assignment in Absa Group which broadened her exposure to different African markets. Salma holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Botswana and an Executive Master’s in Positive leadership and Transformation with IE university, Spain.
