Dr. Thato Kgosimotho BMSc, MD, MPH, MMed Uro Surgery, MBA Founder and CEO – MDB Group
Dr. Kgosimotho is a serial entrepreneur, founder, and current Group CEO for MDB Group. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from St Georges University, Bachelor of Medicine from St Georges University, Master of Public Health from St Georges University, Master of Surgery from Fujian Medical University and is currently an MBA candidate at European Business University. He has led a number of companies involved in the manufacturing and distribution of Medicines and Medical Devices, a chain of Clinics and Retail Pharmacies, cross-border Logistics, poultry and property business.
Dr. Kgosimotho practiced as a medical doctor for two years, went for medicine specialty training and immediately joined family business upon completing specialty studies, Dr Thato started venturing into pharmaceutical business. In 2016, Dr Kgosimotho together with his business partner and fellow Doctor founded a company called Medical Devices Botswana (MDB), which specialized in manufacturing of medical devices, and over the years the company has grown to become a holding company with different subsidiaries in Botswana. The group has two state of the art manufacturing facilities, one producing tablets and capsules, and another producing surgical consumables.
Dr Thato Kgosimotho is an avid reader and traveller.
