Mrs. Thapelo Ntwaagae is qualified Pharmacist with 16 years’ experience in the industry. After qualifying with a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from University of Limpopo, South Africa in 2005, she joined Botswana Ministry of Health where she was placed at the Drugs Regulatory Unit (DRU) (which is now Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority) for almost 5years.
She left Government employment in 2011 and joined the Private Sector where she worked at various sectors within the Pharmaceutical Industry including, Manufacturing, Medicine Regulatory Affairs, Wholesale & Distribution, Hospital, Retail Pharmacy and Sales and Marketing. Thapelo is a Medicines Regulatory Affairs Officer, a qualified Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) Quality Management Systems Officer and a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Botswana (PSB) where she has held posts such as Vice Secretary and Acting Treasurer (2008 – 2010), Treasurer (2012-2014), Vice President (2016-2022) and currently the President.
