Francis Mangeni is an Advisor on African Integration, the multilateral trade system and development practice. He has worked with the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area as Head of Trade Promotion and Programs, and been Director of Trade Customs and Monetary Affairs with the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, Advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Government of Malawi, Diplomat and Senior Economist at the Permanent Delegation of the African Union to the United Nations and other International Organization, and Regional Trade Policy Advisor at the Commission of the African Union.
He has taught on postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in Uganda and in the United Kingdom. And his work has contributed to economic reforms across Africa and assisted Africa’s diplomatic agency across the world. Dr Mangeni has a doctorate in International Economic Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
