Barbara has had extensive experience in both the public, private and non profit sectors in various capacities over the past 30 years. She joined the Maputo Corridor Logistics Initiative as Chief of Operations in 2006 and was appointed CEO in July 2011. She served in that capacity for eight years until February 2019. She is a trade and transport corridor development specialist with experience in regional economic development and enabling the critical link between policy and implementation.
She has extensive experience in process facilitation and stakeholder engagement which has strengthened her work in Ethics. She is a certified Ethics Practitioner and is a Project Associate for The Ethics Institute of Southern Africa in a key project establishing a Coalition for Organisational Integrity in Mozambique. She formed Coalescence Consulting in March 2019.
She has a Higher Diploma in Education, a Certificate in Development Management from the University of Manchester and an Ethics Officer Certification from the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
